Abstract

ar????cle explores the applica????on of ar????ficial intelligence (AI) in forensic odontology, specifically in age es????ma????on,
iden????fica????on, and sex determina????on. The history and development of AI in various fields are discussed, highligh????ng its
poten????al to automate tasks and overcome human limita????ons. The importance of forensic odontology in human
iden????fica????on, especially in cases of mass disasters and decomposed remains, is emphasized. The ar????cle reviews several
studies that have used AI models (Machine Learning and Deep Learning) such as Support Vector Machines (SVMs), ar????ficial
neural networks (ANN), convolu????onal neural networks (CNN), for dental analysis and iden????fica????on. The methodologies,
materials, and results of these studies are presented, showcasing the accuracy and effec????veness of AI in age es????ma????on and
sex determina????on. The limita????ons and challenges of AI technology in forensic odontology are also acknowledged. The ar????cle
concludes by emphasizing the significance of accurate forensic analysis and the poten????al of AI to enhance these processes. It
suggests further research opportuni????es to improve the accuracy and reliability of AI-based methods in forensic odontology.
